Why Nintendo Switch Pro Likely Won’t Launch Until BOTW 2's Release

Many were expecting Nintendo to finally announce the rumored Switch Pro at the E3 Direct, but no such reveal occurred. We did, however, get to see some gameplay for Breath of the Wild 2 and a vague release date of 2022. Because Nintendo has a patterned of releases new consoles with Zelda games, it may be that they are waiting to announce the updated Switch until the Breath of the Wild sequel is ready for release.
